Why are Eco Shark's teeth so clean?  Because they use bamboo toothbrushes!

Help your kids achieve a more sustainable future by introducing them to these fun, colourful, and eco-friendly toothbrushes.

For children ages 3 and up, our smaller toothbrushes feature an ergonomic and biodegradable handle made from sustainable FSC Certified Bamboo.

Our Soft BPA-free rainbow bristles are set in a "W" shape to help reach between teeth and provide better plaque removal.

Once your child is done with the toothbrush, you can pluck the bristles out and use the handle as a teachable moment for composting.

Eco Facts

Conventional toothbrushes are not recyclable because of their mixed plastic composition. Dentists recommend that we replace them every 3 months, meaning most of us will use about 300 toothbrushes in our lifetime.

Because they're not recyclable, chances are that every toothbrush you've ever used still exists today - and some of them may even be in the ocean.

Bamboo toothbrushes are a big step in the right direction. The entire bamboo handle is biodegradable, however the nylon bristles are not. Though technically made of recyclable plastic, community recycling facilities will miss these tiny strips, so please make sure to pull them out and add them to the garbage before composting your handle.

Bamboo is naturally resistant to rot, which is why they're so great for toothbrushes. Since bamboo takes a while to compost, these are best suited for your backyard composter rather than your curbside compost collection.

Ingredients

Handle: FSC certified Bamboo

Bristles: Nylon, which is BPA free, vegan and cruelty free.

How to Care for your Bamboo Toothbrush

Before your first use, thoroughly rinse your new toothbrush.

Bamboo is naturally water resistant, but to keep your brush functioning for as long as possible, rinse your brush after each use and store it vertically in between uses to allow to thoroughly air dry.

The American Dental Association recommends replacing your toothbrush every 3 months, or when the bristles have frayed.

To dispose of your toothbrush, pluck the nylong bristles out of the brush and reuse or compost the bamboo handle.
