Bar soap requires one-fifth of the energy to produce compared to liquid soap.
Bar soaps on the whole are primarily comprised of natural ingredients and are biodegradable.
Bar soaps last at least 3x's longer than liquid soap, and are just as effective in cleaning and preventing the spread of germs, but without the added chemicals.
Liquid soaps on the other hand (pun!) are petroleum based and require additional chemicals to emulsify and stabilize.
Liquid soaps can use up to 20x's the amount of packaging and are much heavier, which gives them a significantly higher carbon footprint for transportation, let alone the footprint of their plastic packaging and chemical ingredients.

How to use and care for your solid dish soap
Solid dish soap is really easy to use - just rub your dish brush or sponge on the bar to work up some suds, then wash your dishes as usual. Works well in both warm and cold water.
Keep your dish soap firm and dry by using a soap dish, such as our draining bamboo dish.

The brush, soap bar, and dish all work together ergonomically. Works perfectly to wash one dish or a sink full.
The soap works well and has a fresh lemon scent that I really like. The challenge with all solid soaps is that when they get wet, they dissolve a bit more than you really need, and so the precious soap drains away. Also, there is a crater that develops in the middle of the bar...but this happened with a non-ecoshark bar as well.
I still like this product.
Thanks Dennis, glad you liked the soap! Personally, I cut the bar in half when I use it because it's so big, then take the small slivers of soap left over at the end and 'fuse' them on top of the second half. Maybe that'll help with your crater?
This bar of dish soap is the best I discovered so far. It lathers, it lasts and washes really good. Great service from Eco Shark also.
